Purim will be here before you know it!!! Help celebrate it by sending Mishloach Manot to your friends and neighbors and by providing Ma’tanot LaEvyonim – gifts to the poor.
The Book of Esther requires that all Jews near and far observe the fourteenth and fifteenth days of Adar as days of feasting and gladness, and for sending delicacies to friends and gifts to the poor. (Book of Esther, chp. 9 verse 21 & 22).
Congregation Shomrei Torah is continuing our tradition of organizing this mitzvah.
Order your packages today. The cost remains at $5.00 each. We will provide a basket filled with Israeli goodies for each “in-town” recipient and a letter acknowledging your donation for any out-of-town recipient. 100% of the proceeds will benefit Congregation Shomrei Torah and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank of Tallahassee.
All gift packages will be available for pick-up during at the Megillah reading on March 11 and at the Purim carnival Sunday morning March 5. If you wish to reciprocate gifts to anyone who sends you one, we can do that as well.
Back by popular demand – we have the buy it all option. For a flat fee of $250.00 you can send one basket to all Shomrei Torah members. No more guess work and you will feel good knowing that everyone has received a basket.
